User spends $ 100,000 in Mafia Wars

Buying goods and services in virtual games like Mafia Wars or FrontierVille can be an addiction. A "former employee of Zynga," says that some people spend thousands of dollars in these games.
Anonymous publications in Reddit, allegedly by a former employee of Zynga, explain that there was a user to spend $ 100,000 just in Mafia Wars. The author of these articles says Zynga, publisher of casual games, treats those who spend a lot of money for Zynga Black, while those who just play without investing a cent are spam.

The former employee said she has seen a user to spend $ 20,000 in FrontierVille, reports Mashable.

  8. The post, filled with unsubstantiated claims about Zynga corporate culture, sparked a lot of heated discussion. A few other posters claim to be current Zynga employees and, while some refute the author's claims, others support them.
The alleged revelations about how Zynga makes money parallel somewhat with Facebook's recent IPO filing. Just as Facebook revealed its interdependence on Zynga for a significant part of its income as a potential weakness, Zynga's dependence on what the author calls "addicts" put a great deal of financial control in the hands of a small group.
Do you spend money on Zynga games? What's the most you've ever spent and what did you buy? Let us know in the comments.
